An Adapted Journey of Impact & Adventure
Winter 2026
Winter 2026
Our 2nd Annual Adapted Service Trip takes us to La Fortuna, Costa Rica, blending meaningful community work with unforgettable adventures in one of the most biodiverse places on Earth. Designed for students in Learning for Independence (LFI) programs, the trip emphasizes accessibility, support, and connection while showcasing Costa Rica’s culture, people, and natural beauty.
Students will partner with a local organization on a sustainable farming project, learning hands-on practices that support both the environment and local livelihoods. By engaging directly with community members, students will gain confidence, practice teamwork, and make a tangible impact while forming authentic relationships.
Afternoons are filled with activities that highlight Costa Rica’s breathtaking landscapes. Students will raft along tropical rivers, soak in natural hot springs, and hike the trails near the iconic Arenal Volcano. These experiences are designed to inspire a sense of wonder, teamwork, and accomplishment in a supportive environment.
